Artist Statement: Keep a song in your heart… or let it sound out across the canvas… this inspires
much of my art. I utilize acrylics and hand-applied sheet music within my art. The music may not be
immediately obvious, but is an integral part of the whole. Various Montana, flora, fauna and
landscapes are created with vivid colors, imagination, and layered music and paint hum in harmony
and happiness.

Artist Bio: A Montana native, Julie Korb is drawn to the beauty which surrounds her and is evident
in her paintings. She is humbled and joyous when someone finds a connection with her creations!
She considers it an honor to be a part of patrons’ special events when asked to capture an
anniversary memory or magical life moment in a painting.
Lifelong learning is a passion for Julie Korb. She’s earned degrees in elementary and gifted
education and been fortunate to work with many students as a teacher in Idaho, Washington and
Montana. Because artistic impression and methods are infinite and personal, Julie finds many
“lightbulb moments” in learning and creating as an artist. Discovering and honing skills in acrylic and
mixed media continues to shape and influence her pieces.
Montana is a fortunate place to be encouraged as an artist, play in the great outdoors, and
enjoy family. Julie Korb draws personal inspiration from the local, art-rich culture and self-made,
talented artists as well as life’s music in this amazing state.
